If your MT4/MT5 platform is stuck on “Connecting…” or displays “No Connection” in the bottom right corner, it usually indicates that the platform is unable to reach the trading server.
The error can be caused by a network issue, incorrect server settings, or local firewall restrictions.
How to Troubleshoot:
If your connection is stable, try to rescan the servers. This can be done by left-clicking on the "No connection" message in the bottom right corner of the terminal and choosing "Rescan servers".
Here are the steps on how to rescan your server (laptop):
If successful, you should see the connection speed at the bottom right corner of your MT4/MT5 platform. If rescanning did not help, re-login to your account in the terminal’s main menu.
If this is the case, you will need to ask your System Administrator for the proxy server address and the port used to connect to the internet. Once you have this information, enter it into MetaTrader:
This may need to be disabled to continue.
To see what version you are using, go to the ‘Help’ menu and select ‘About’. Updated versions of MT4/MT5 can be downloaded from the Axi Client Portal and the Axi website.
