IMPORTANT: Once an account has been closed, it cannot be re-opened.
Before closing your account, you must close any open positions and withdraw any remaining balance from your account. Accounts with funds in them cannot be closed automatically, but they will be marked as “Inactive” if there is no trading or account activity for a period of 12 months. Inactive accounts cannot be accessed or used to trade.
To clear your account balance, you can either:
Transfer the funds out of your account.
Make an internal transfer to another trading account, or
Donate the remaining balance to charity (please contact our Client Services team for more information on this),
To make a withdrawal, log in to the Axi Client Portal, select “Funds,” then "Withdraw funds" and choose a withdrawal method.
There are two ways to request account closure.
Clients can request to apply for Account Closure directly via the online request forms. To do so, they need to go to the Help Center and click on 'Ticket.'
Under 'More Details', the client will choose 'Account Closure Request' and fill out all the required fields.
You can request to close one, multiple, or all of your accounts via the MT4 and MT5 platform.
Please ensure your account has no remaining balance before requesting closure.
Once the account balance is zero, to proceed with the account closure procedure, you will need to contact our Client Services confirming your account number and a written request for it to be closed (e.g., “Please close my account XXXXX”). This request must be made from the email address you have registered with Axi which is linked to your trading account.
Please note: If your trading account balance is negative, you will need to fund the negative balance before making your request to close the account. Additionally, please be aware that if you have any open positions, they must be closed before proceeding with the account closure.
In the event of the death of an account holder, Axi should be notified as soon as possible.
