A Demo account works in the same way as a live trading account, with the key difference being that it uses virtual funds and therefore does not require the use of any real money.

Demo accounts have most (but not all) of the same functions as a live account and are designed to help traders learn how to trade, develop skills, and practice or test trading strategies without financial risk.

Axi Demo accounts are free to open and can be used for 30 days. If you then decide to open a free Live trading account and fund it, your Demo account will remain available to use alongside the Live account on an unlimited basis.

Opening a Demo trading account

To create a new free Axi Demo account, choose one of the two options below:

• Method 1: Apply for a Demo account directly via the Axi website. Please note: If you have an existing Live account with Axi, you might need to use the method below.
• Method 2: If you already have the MT4 platform installed on your PC, follow the steps below:
  • Open the MT4 trading terminal
  • From the main menu, click “File” then “Open an Account”
  • Select the correct server: “Axi-US03-Demo", and click “Next”
  • Choose “New demo account,” and click “Next”
  • Add your details (name, email, phone number, account type)
  • Click on “I agree to subscribe to your newsletters”
  • Click the check box to Finish

Once you have completed the application process you will be given a new set of Demo login details; the password will appear below your account number on the pop-up window after completing registration.

IMPORTANT: Once a Demo account is open, you cannot change the base account currency. To trade using a different base currency, you must open a new sub-account and choose the new currency during the setup process. Additional Demo sub-accounts are also free to open.

Can I open more than one Demo trading account at the same time?

Yes, you can open and trade with multiple Demo trading accounts simultaneously. However please note that Axi Demo accounts are free to open and can be used for 30 days if you do not have a Live and Funded Trading Account.
