A prepaid card is a payment card with a value of currency stored on the card itself, not in an external account (such as a bank account) maintained by a financial institution. This means no network access is required by the payment collector as funds can be withdrawn and deposited directly from the card.
Axi will only accept prepaid cards that are:
Linked to a bank account (proof must be provided by the client)
Not loaded with cash payments (credit cards and bank transfers only)
Overseen by a financial regulator
Examples of cards that are accepted include Revolut and Wirex.
If you are unsure whether your prepaid/virtual card is accepted, please contact our Customer Support team before making a transaction request.
